We are so excited to celebrate with everyone travelling from abroad! To make your journey as easy as possible, we've put together a few recommendations.

There are three parts to getting to the wedding venue:

  1. Travelling to the UK
Fly from your home country to the UK.

  2. Getting from the Airport to Bournemouth or Salisbury
Once you've arrived in the UK, you'll need to travel to either Bournemouth or Salisbury, depending on where you're staying or which route is most convenient.

  3. Getting to Larmer tree.
From Bournemouth or Salisbury, you can reach the venue by taxi, hire car, or other transport options. Here are the best ways to make the final part of your journey

Flying to the UK

We recommend flying into London Heathrow Airport (LHR), as it has the best international connections and transport options. Bristol Airport (BRS) is also a great alternative if it offers a more convenient flight.

You can also fly into Southampton Airport (SOU) or Bournemouth Airport (BOH). Both are closer to the venue, but you'll still need to hire a car or take a taxi to Larmer Tree Gardens, as the venue is located in the middle of the countryside.

Getting Closer to the Venue

From Heathrow (or central London), you have a few options to reach the area:

  • Take the train to a nearby town. We recommend staying in Bournemouth or Salisbury, as both are lovely places to visit and are within easy travelling distance of the venue.
You can book train tickets and check timetables here:
    https://www.thetrainline.com.

  • Take a National Express coach (Bus) from London, Heathrow Airport, or Gatwick Airport to either Bournemouth or Salisbury. From there, you will need to take a taxi to your accommodation or directly to the venue.
    https://www.nationalexpress.com

  • Spend a few days in London before travelling down to Bournemouth or Salisbury for the wedding, then hire a car service o take you direct to the venue/airbnb.

No matter which option you choose, please note that you will need a taxi or hire car for the final part of your journey to the venue.

Car Hire

If you'd prefer the flexibility of hiring a driver, we recommend hiring a car. A local company we suggest is:

https://www.dorsetluxurycars.co.uk

Taxis

If you're staying in Bournemouth, we recommend using United Taxis:
https://www.unitedtaxis.com (Use the app)

If you're staying in Salisbury, Uber is generally the easiest option.

Local Transport

Please note that Larmer Tree Gardens is in the middle of the countryside, and public transport in the area is very limited. Local buses are infrequent and not a practical option for most guests, especially if you're travelling with luggage or formal wear. We strongly recommend using a taxi or hire car from the list above.

Accommodation

There are plenty of lovely hotels and Airbnb options in both Bournemouth and Salisbury (Listed above).

For hotel stays, we have arranged a discount at The King John Inn using the code:

"EthanandFatima"

Alternatively, we recommend booking an Airbnb, as there are plenty of beautiful countryside stays close to the venue.

You could also stay in Bournemouth or Salisbury and simply take a taxi to and from the venue on the day, making it a convenient option if you'd like to explore the area during your stay.

If you're planning to stay for a few days, we recommend booking early, especially during busy periods.
